Happy 3rd Birthday!

February 24th, 2009 , Posted in My Own, Recent Sessions

My baby turned three today! He is such an adorable, cuddly little kid, but one of the most bossy kids I’ve ever met! I love him so, and he allowed me to take his picture this morning after he found this enormous birthday hat in my studio closet!

meet grace and fischer.

December 10th, 2008 , Posted in Child, Infant, Recent Sessions, Siblings, Sneak Peek, Toddler

I’ve been photographing Gracie since she was 3 months old.  I was thrilled to receive a phone call from her mom 9 months ago announcing her pregnancy, and booking me far in advance.  Mom knows how fast I book up, so she was on the ball!

Photographing siblings can be quite challenging, especially when it’s a 3 month old, and a 3 year old.  I was beyond excited when I pulled up these two images.

three beautiful children

November 18th, 2008 , Posted in Child, Family, Recent Sessions, Sneak Peek, Toddler

It’s so easy for me to love my job when I work with kids like these three.  They were incredibly cooperative, and I walked away from the session thinking, “that was too easy!”  More images to follow another day….

Thank you to everyone that came out to the Christmas boutique last week at Natalie Weller’s home.  It was a huge success!  If this is your first time visiting my blog, and you saw my work in person there, please feel free to leave me a comment!  I very much enjoyed meeting a ton of new people!

Need to get a head start on your Christmas shopping?  Looking for unique gifts?  Come this Friday or Saturday to Natalie Weller’s home located in Sandy, Utah.  Her address is 7737 South Pheasant Wood Drive….come to see her home…..it’s to die for! :)

I’ll be there displaying prints, and selling gift certificates just in time for Christmas!

It’s going to be a great boutique, with many homemade things, including a few choices of camera straps from my niece’s shop, Cotton Candy by Natalie available for purchase.

the paramedic’s grandson

November 3rd, 2008 , Posted in Newborn, Recent Sessions

When I first met this little munchin’s mom, she mentioned that her father was a paramedic here in the Salt Lake Valley and that he had passed away in the last couple years.  She wondered if we could incorporated her father’s helmet and hurry-ups into a shot with her new little boy. “Of course!” I said….I understood the significance, as my father was also a firefighter, who passed away over 22 years ago.  I’m so glad the shot worked out….it wasn’t easy putting him in that helmet, or having it balance!  :)

meet nora.

October 3rd, 2008 , Posted in Dad & Me, Mom & Me, Newborn, Recent Sessions, Sneak Peek

I love her name!  She was a TINY peanut with red hair when she came to visit me a few weeks back……I think 5lbs 14 oz or so……just so tiny!  Both of my kids were over 8 lbs, so I can’t imagine a 5 lb baby….and she was most smiley newborn ever.  She was definitely camera ready!  :)   Mom is a librarian, and you may remember the shot while little Nora was still inside, but we had to get another shot of Mom reading to Nora on the outside.  Her parents also brought one of their favorite red blankets to the newborn shoot too (I love when people bring stuff that means something to them!).
