I’ve been photographing Gracie since she was 3 months old. I was thrilled to receive a phone call from her mom 9 months ago announcing her pregnancy, and booking me far in advance. Mom knows how fast I book up, so she was on the ball!

Photographing siblings can be quite challenging, especially when it’s a 3 month old, and a 3 year old. I was beyond excited when I pulled up these two images.

It’s so easy for me to love my job when I work with kids like these three. They were incredibly cooperative, and I walked away from the session thinking, “that was too easy!” More images to follow another day….

I love her name! She was a TINY peanut with red hair when she came to visit me a few weeks back……I think 5lbs 14 oz or so……just so tiny! Both of my kids were over 8 lbs, so I can’t imagine a 5 lb baby….and she was most smiley newborn ever. She was definitely camera ready! Mom is a librarian, and you may remember the shot while little Nora was still inside, but we had to get another shot of Mom reading to Nora on the outside. Her parents also brought one of their favorite red blankets to the newborn shoot too (I love when people bring stuff that means something to them!).

You would never have guessed that she came in at what I refer to as “the witching hour” – usually newborns from about 5-8pm are not very happy, but we still managed to get all of those priceless newborn shots!

Do you think she is trying to tell me something?

This little girl came when she was 5 weeks old. She was seriously posing for me! It was awesome! I loved working with her parents, and towards the end, when Dad was being pooped or peed on, we all couldn’t stop laughing! We were all laughing so hard that I was trying hard to regain my composure! My stomach hurt from laughing so hard. It was a very enjoyable session!

I had the pleasure of working with a large family a couple weeks ago before they all got to leave for Lake Powell for the week! I was super jealous to say the least! I always enjoy these sessions because I know how important these pictures are for Mom, and having all of her kids again back in Utah for a short time period is also fantastic!

I couldn’t just limit my post about my family from a couple weeks ago to the pictures I posted already…..their Mom allowed me to bring some of my own items, and at the end, we just let the girls “be” and this is what happened…….I like to call it, magic.

I met this family up at Red Butte Gardens a couple weeks ago. The previous days it had snowed (yes, in May!), so we were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the day turned out. The girls were almost the exact ages of my boys, and they were BEAUTIFUL!!!

Definitely one of the sleepiest and easiest newborns I’ve ever photographed. I photographed his Mom & Dad awhile ago while he was still ‘baking in the oven’ – aka maternity portraits. Look at this beaming smile he has when Dad and Mom kiss him…..

Isn’t he beautiful…….I mean handsome?

I loved working with his Mom and Dad. They did everything I asked, and I can already tell they are going to be fabulous parents!

Allie, their dog, loved getting her photograph taken. Isn’t she a cute little dog?

Raymond and Carrie were awesome to work with, and I enjoyed getting to know them! I love when the father comes along to the session. Carrie was such a trooper – she has been on bed rest, and this was her first time standing for such long periods of time. Here is wishing you health for the rest of your pregnancy, Carrie!
